“POLITICAL FREEDOM – ADVOCATE FOR AMERICAN CIVICS, TRUTH IN HISTORY, EXCELLENT GOVERNANCE”

America is the last true bastion of economic and political freedom girded by the precious opening words of the Declaration of Independence, “All men are created equal, that their creator endows them with certain unalienable rights, that among them are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

One philosophical principle that the American Founders asserted in the Declaration was the “Law of Nature and Nature’s God.” This universal moral law served as their moral and legal basis for creating a new, self-governing nation. One apparent aspect of this law is that it was understood in Western thought and by early Americans to be revealed by God in two ways—in nature and the Bible—thus evidencing the Bible’s influence in America’s founding document.

The “Law of Nature” is the moral or common sense embedded in man’s heart or conscience (as confirmed in Romans 2:14-15). It tells one to live honestly, hurt no one, and render to everyone his due. The law of “Nature’s God” as written in the Bible and spoken by Jesus Christ consists of two great commandments—to love God and love others. The first commandment is to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and strength.” The second commandment, often referred to as the Golden Rule is to “love your neighbor as yourself” or, as expressed by Jesus to “do to others as you would have them do to you.” Thus the content for both the natural and written laws is the same.

The preamble to the most extraordinary constitution ever created says, “We, the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do establish this constitution of the United States of America.” This is bold and uplifting language. The reader should never overlook the intentional language that these beautiful promises are intended for our posterity as much as ourselves. The beauty and innocence of America’s children and children’s children should always be considered by the voting citizens and the policies and laws our leaders debate.

In his famous speech entitled “A Time for Choosing,” given on October 27, 1964, Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

This speech was given at the apex of the Cold War. Although there were small and disruptive Marxist organizations and opaque socialist sympathizers in government and on college campuses in 1964, today, the internal Marxist and socialist threats to our republic are now far greater than the external threats of the Evil Empire of the Cold War.

America is the only country in the history of humankind to write a constitution for the protection of its citizens from government tyranny and to limit the expanse of government to only what the citizens permit. But unfortunately, that ingenious framework is under aggressive attack by avid Marxists, extreme social liberals, and progressives. They believe that human nature is moldable and malleable. Citizens are merely subjects to be managed by a totalitarian regime of professional experts, elites, and the force of a domestic surveillance apparatus and weaponized government institutions like the IRS and Justice Department. To achieve this, they intend to neutralize the US Constitution as a founding document, eliminate or restrict private
property rights and the elimination of the traditional patriarchal family. They are very impatient with efforts to modify the founding documents by established constitutional means because such means are slow and complex just as our founders intended. Thus, they are openly disruptive and deceptive, using propaganda that is intended to create rebellion or revolution.
